Awards

IUVA invites your nominations, including self nominations, for our 2017 Industry Awards.

The awards ceremony will take place at the IUVA World Congress 2017, September 17-20, in Dubrovnik Croatia. 
 
Please submit nominations by July 14, 2017 using our online submission form.
 
The IUVA 2017 Awards Categories

Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes professional dedication and lifetime achievement in promoting UV and the mission of the IUVA.  
 
UV Engineering Project of the Year
This award recognizes an exemplary engineering project involving UV applications in operation. Each nominated engineering project will be reviewed for innovation and excellence and its impact on society. 
 
UV Light Award for Volunteer Recognition
The UV Light Award recognizes the most dedicated volunteer (individual or organization) to support the mission of the IUVA. 
 
UV Young Professional Award
This award recognizes a young professional (defined as being under the age of 35 through December 31, 2017) who has made an exceptional contribution to UV research, design, innovation, or applications in the period 2016-17.  
 
Best Paper Awards
Best UV Paper award in four categories: 
1) Research Paper for the period 2015-17
2) IUVA News Paper for the period 2015-17
3) Conference Paper for the period 2015-17
4) Classic UV Paper (any year)
Notes:
·   Research Papers must be from peer-reviewed journals and must have been published in 2015-17. 
·   IUVA News Papers must be from volumes published in 2015-17.
·   Conference Papers do not need to have been peer-reviewed and can be from the proceedings of non-IUVA conferences. Only the paper that appeared in the conference proceedings will be reviewed (not Powerpoint slides).
·   Classic Papers can be from any of the above categories and from any period.
 
Each nominated paper will be evaluated for the impact of the paper on the development of UV research and technology. Nominations must include a short statement (maximum of one page) as to the impact and importance of the paper accompanied by a pdf of the paper.
 
UV Product Innovation Award
This award recognizes an exemplary product or process involving UV applications.  Each nominated product or process will be reviewed for innovation in design and engineering and its impact on society.  
 
Green UV Award
This award recognizes an exemplary product or process improving the green image of UV applications.  Each nominated UV-based product, process, or application will be reviewed for its green design and engineering attributes.
