The IUVA Young Professionals (YP) Committee was formed to increase interest and involvement in IUVA and the UV industry among YPs, and to allow YPs to actively contribute to IUVA. The YP Committee is an official committee of the IUVA, and the external co-chair facilitates the YP Committee vote on the IUVA Board of Directors.

Hello and welcome to the page of the IUVA Young Professionals Committee!

Natalie Hull and Nathan Moore have been honored and exhilarated by our roles as founding co-chairs of the committee. Ever since dreaming up all the possibilities for increasing interest and involvement in UV among young professionals through our efforts, we have been blown away by the energy and enthusiasm brought by official committee members and volunteers. Without all their hard work, none of our successes would be possible. As the committee has grown and evolved, we have had the opportunity to engage with IUVA and the broader UV community through our events at conferences, our online presence through social media and a new podcast, and other strategic growth initiatives. More recently, we were able to provide creative and rigorous contributions that are vital to the ongoing response of IUVA to the COVID-19 pandemic. As current academics, Natalie and Nathan look forward to seeing the committee grow and evolve when industry professionals Molly McManus and Dan Spicer transition into co-chairing the committee, giving us other opportunities to continue contributing to the YP committee and IUVA.
